What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy helps to combine the science of healing with the art of caring. It is very efficient in treating movement dysfunctions and it is proven to be effective. A physical therapist will perform a comprehensive report on your movements, which helps to identify any joint dysfunction and tissue limitations. We can also help to identify muscular imbalances and in some instances structural pathologies as well, so you know you can count on us to give you a fast progression with a great result. In order to assist our patients, we will always use a variety of different methods to try and create changes in the muscle tissue, restoring function as well as helping you to live a healthy and normal life again. Our hands on therapy will help to manipulate the muscle with set movements as well as restoring natural mobility in the shortest possible time. Of course, we can also help you with preventative care as well, so there are countless options available.

What can be helped with physical therapy?

Your ability to move can be impaired for a number of reasons and these can impact your quality of life. There are several diagnoses that a physical therapist can significantly help with, and some of these include arthritis, surgery, traumatic brain injuries, neurological diseases and more. These can all limit your ability to function and that is why our staff is trained to individually evaluate each and every person before providing a quality treatment plan that revolves around restorative care.

What can a physical therapy program do that I can’t do?

A lot of patients think that they can exercise properly but in reality they don’t know how to at all. A lot of patients also believe that what they are doing now is helping to manage the pain, but in reality what they are doing isn’t managing the physical cause and really it could actually be making it worse.

Do I need to see a physician before I see a physical therapist?

You don’t need to see a physician before you see a physical therapist but they can provide you with a valid prescription if needed.
